The Temple ministry is focused on aligning how we treat our bodies based on the word of God. The bedrock scripture of this ministry is:
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies
This means that as men of God we are called to treat our physical temples accordingly. As such the ministry focuses on:
Exercise - The healthy movement of the body
Nourishment - The proper feeding and hydration of the body
Sleep- The proper resting of the body
These areas of focus help ensure that our bodies can work as God intended them to and ensure that we are always physically in position to do what God has called us to do.
Mission Statement
We strive to be better stewards over our Temple. We are not our own, we were brought at a high price. We work to ensure that the Men of Joy tenets are carried out in all facets of our lives including our physical health. We must be Committed and Consistent in moving, feeding and resting our bodies. We are Transparent, which will be covered in Confidentiality, about our struggles to take care of our Temples so we can get assistance and help others.
The Primary Objective of the Ministry
To help men achieve a more wholistic and closer relationship with God through the maintenance of their physical temple via Exercise, Nourishment and Sleep.
